Product & Trader Publication Standard
MVP publication standard: August 2026
1. Trader profile before approval
KIIP may require a brand to submit a trader profile for review. It should include:
- Legal name, registration number, and registered address.
- Trader email address and telephone contact.
- Tax or register information where applicable.
- A payout-readiness confirmation; actual payment/KYC information is requested through the approved payment onboarding flow.
- The EU countries where the brand intends to offer the product.
A missing or incomplete profile prevents review for publication.
2. Delivery and return readiness
Before an item can be offered for sale, the Brand must provide:
- Each EU delivery service, eligible destination, customer shipping price, maximum dispatch time, and transit estimate.
- A carrier and tracking number at dispatch where the service supports tracking, plus prompt response to invalid, duplicate, unaccepted, stale, or carrier-exception statuses.
- Return instructions and a choice of whether the Brand covers the disclosed direct cost of an ordinary return.
- A process to receive returned goods and record receipt and condition. The Brand bears the applicable return cost and consumer remedy for faulty or non-conforming goods.
KIIP does not provide a universal prepaid return-label service.
3. Product record before publication
Each product needs a stable identifier and the information needed to trace and assess it. KIIP may require:
- A product identifier, picture, type, or another identifier that lets the product be matched to its safety information.
- The manufacturer's name or registered trade name or trademark, plus postal and electronic contact details.
- Where the manufacturer is outside the EU, the EU responsible person's name and postal and electronic contact details.
- Applicable warnings and safety information in the relevant destination-market consumer language.
- Sales territories and whether the price includes VAT.
The consumer product-page disclosures required for a sale remain part of the final customer-facing legal and technical review.
4. Territory must match across records
A product can be considered for publication only where its declared territory falls within both the current catalog-content authorization and the approved trader profile. A missing or mismatched territory keeps the product out of publication.
5. Evidence and review
KIIP may request reasonable supporting evidence, such as product labels, declarations, source-of-truth product data, or recall information. Recording or reviewing evidence does not certify a product or transfer the brand's responsibilities.
6. Recall and takedown protection
A brand should notify KIIP immediately of a recall, safety notice, or takedown request, identifying the affected product and territory. If an identifier is marked recalled or taken down, KIIP blocks it from being silently reintroduced through a later sync. The concern must be reviewed and resolved through the applicable process before the product can return.
7. Role boundary and scope
The Brand remains responsible for the accuracy of the product and trader information it supplies and is the seller and fulfiller of its goods. KIIP operates marketplace, checkout, payment collection, support, listing, and review controls. See the Brand Partner Terms for the current MVP operating baseline and the remaining review points.
